My name is Stefanie and I am 27 years old. I have been on a weight
loss "journey" with my sister Kathy for 2 years now. When we first
decided to take control of our lives and lose weight I was 103.1kg and a size
18-20 at only 25 years of age.
I have however struggled with my weight my whole life, a size 14
through all of high school. I was hopeless at sports and was called
"thunder thighs" by some of the boys. I always worried I would never
find a boyfriend; however I found a man I loved at age 17, Alan, who saw my
inner beauty. We married in 2008 and although I wanted to lose weight for my
wedding, I was only able to drop from 101kg to 92kg doing Lite & Easy.
After
my wedding I left my parent's place and started to cook for myself.... WOW that
was bad; I used to live of instant noodles and chocolate. So bad, I Know. And I
put on all the weight I lost plus some in 8 months getting up to my heaviest
103.1kg.
I sold my house and moved back in with my parent with my hubby, and got a call from my sister at work telling me she was going to join Weight Watchers. This is the call that changed my life. I asked if I could go with her and she was wrapped. We took the WW journey together and both lost a stack of weight. In April to celebrate 12 month of weight loss we took a hike in the Grampians.
I ended up losing 24.6kg getting down to 78.5kg and feeling good. We did personal training every Saturday with Russell at MaxNRG who we had a ball with and kicks our but. But i hit a wall, my weight loss was at a stand still and was losing motivation.
I went to Europe at this point for 6 weeks and well i thought that was the end of it but managed to come back only 100grams heavier.
So i got complacent, not bad, but not good either. Sweets, takeout not really working out and the kilos started to creep up.I got up to 82kg over 1 year and now I have taken control again.
I have just joined the Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation to try and get to my goal of 69kg.
In my first week I have lost 1.9kg and am feeling so very motivated so I have decided to keep this blog to keep me on track, help inspire others to do the same and get me to goal once and for all.
Wish me luck.
Stef
